Reading Aids: Magnifiers

When choosing a magnifier, it is best to begin with identifying the exact purpose for its use (e.g., reading the newspaper, reading medicine labels, or knitting). Once you have specified the task, you must determine how far away from the object you will be and how long you plan to be viewing the object for. These two factors, combined with your desired task will help point us in the direction of what magnifier would be a good choice for your Low Vision needs.

We strongly recommend that you schedule a low vision evaluation with our optometrist and bring the task you are struggling with so that you can actually try out the magnifiers while working on your desired task.
